How do you provide an immersive experience for plant tours when Ontario & Canada grapples with a pandemic and its constraints? Ask the BWA. We are focused on providing you the very best alternatives to our regular live events!
On November 18th, 2020, through careful planning and delivery, BWA successfully delivered an industry-first – a virtual and interactive Plant Tour Focus Group of Waterloo-based wood manufacturer CCW Architectural Millwork Inc.
The very first BWA Virtual Plant Tour Focus Group drew members from far and wide. With over 40 members logging in over lunch from the comfort of their shops!
BWA Members–Only Access – Watch the Event Video Recording!
The BWA Plant Tour Focus Groups focus on the host company’s challenge, and those attending learn from the host’s best practices and brainstorm solutions for the host. CCW Architectural Millwork Inc is a privately owned and operated custom cabinet shop with a wide range of experience in the corporate, retail, hospitality, institutional and retail markets. Their challenge focused on finding a better software solution to support the flow of component information through the facility and optimizing labor.
Following a 30 minute virtual Plant Tour video, members were divided into smaller breakout rooms to address the host’s challenge. Despite participating virtually, our members’ willingness to engage, share, and learn from each other was not affected in the slightest. The breakout room captains shared the ideas generated, and BWA helped facilitate off-line discussions after the event to address CCW Architectural Millwork’s challenge.
Many thanks to everyone at CCW for hosting and to the visiting members engaging in the learning! Also, to Ryan Tabone and the crew at Candybox Marketing for the great work on the virtual plant tour video: thanks to you, too!
This summary can’t begin to replace being there! If you are not a member of the BWA and would like to attend these and learn more, contact us.
