ONBord hosted an engaging and well-received plant tour on January 31, 2024. The event brought together wood manufacturers and suppliers across Ontario to share ideas and learn from one another.
ONbord, based in Mississauga, Ontario, has been crafting top-notch thermal laminate cabinet doors, edge-banded doors, laminated panels, moldings, and furniture components since 2019. The team’s dedication is evident in the superior quality of their products.
Mike Baker welcomed attendees, discussed current industry topics, and introduced the plant tour host, Kevin Lill from ONBord. Kevin provided an overview of Onbord, and spoke to his targeted focus on continuous improvement and digital integration. Before the tour started, Stewart Cramer from NGen provided information about program initiatives and funding.
Once the tour ended, we enjoyed a networking lunch. Thank you to ONBord, Wanderosa, Lean Advisors, and Homag for sponsoring and hosting the lunch.After the networking lunch, we had an engaging debrief, further Q&A, and a lean discussion led by Julia Novik from Lean Advisors. The event was a success, and again we want to thank Kevin and his team from ONBord for hosting and welcoming WMCO members to their facility.
