The March 28th Quarterly Networking Event at Blum was well received and attended by over 40 participants. The day started with participants enjoying an opportunity to network, followed by a WMCO FedDev Digital Transformation Project update by Mike Baker CEO, of WMCO.
Next, Chris West from Sherrard Kuzz LLP spoke regarding Employment Law and Mental Health. He highlighted the complexities of mental health disabilities in the workplace and the challenges of identifying and understanding mental health disabilities. Chris spoke about the legal obligation for employers under the Ontario legislation and discussed the need for ongoing employee management.
After a networking lunch sponsored by Blum, Cobot Intelligence, Akhurst, and Royal City Paints, we heard from Tom Matulis, Regional Director at NRC IRAP. Tom provided insights into accessing support for SMEs, and strategies for maximizing benefits and opportunities.
We concluded the day with a tour of Blum Canada’s factory. The factory is a true sight of innovative engineering. WMCO wants to thank Troy McMann from Blum for his help in quarterbacking this event, and Blum Canada for hosting. Finally, as always, a big thank you to our incredible sponsors!
