The Wood Manufacturing Cluster of Ontario (WMCO) recent Plant Tour at Diamond CNC was a tremendous success, bringing together more than 80 attendees from across Ontario’s woodworking and manufacturing community for a day of learning, networking, and meaningful industry connection.
Hosted at Diamond CNC’s impressive 32,000 sq. ft. Nanticoke facility, the event gave members and guests a firsthand look at how advanced automation, integrated software, and disciplined workflow design can transform production efficiency.
From CNC processing and edge banding to barcode systems and digital production management, attendees experienced practical examples of how modern manufacturers are:
- Addressing labour challenges
- Reducing errors
- Scaling output in highly competitive markets

- The future of Ontario manufacturing
WMCO extends sincere thanks to CNC Automation for generously sponsoring lunch and for Bob Law’s leadership in helping guide one of the tours, sharing valuable insight and perspective with attendees throughout the day.
We are also deeply grateful to Mike Clare and Rob, along with the entire Diamond CNC team, for opening their doors, hosting such a well-organized event, and providing WMCO members with transparent access to one of Ontario’s most efficient automation-driven manufacturing operations.
