After years of continued company growth, Diamond CNC, in 2021 decided they had outgrown their current facility. Situated at 116 Copernicus Boulevard, Brantford, it was their second shop they had grown into. But on December of 2021, they would be uprooting once more to an even larger facility (more on this later).
However, before they left 116 Copernicus Blvd, the WMCO was on hand to capture how their production flow was able to move product and what progressions they had made over the course of a few years there.
The WMCO Plant Tour Case Study featured a live virtual event on Feb 24, 2022 that included a first person guided walk through tour by Managing Partner, Rob Clare. Sourcing skilled labor is a common challenge many wood shop owners can relate to – and for Diamond CNC, it was a key driver to push operations in the direction to automate, simplify and streamline throughput.
Through a series of layout changes over the years they continue to hone their operational throughput allowing them to increase their productivity while maintaining little to no increase in employee head count.
This Plant Tour Case Study was conducted as “Part 1 of 2”, where “Part 2” will be hosted by the WMCO with Diamond CNC as an IN-PERSON and LIVE-STREAMED event coming soon April 28th, 2022!
More details are coming soon so watch your emails and check back to the www.WMCO.ca website regularly.
