Owners, leaders travelled from all across Southwestern Ontario to the Ron Joyce Center in Burlington for the Bluewater Wood Alliance’s annual winter Quarterly Networking Event – November 21st, 2018.
The Bluewater Wood Alliance themed the winter Networking Event with fundamental current issues affecting manufacturers today. The event addressed the topics of Employee Culture and Motivation, Cannabis Policy and Procedure in the workplace and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems – the next step towards Industry 4.0.
- Brad Cairns, Managing Partner of the Center for Lean Learning with Andrew Wall, President of Sandler Sales Miltonprovided an empowering talk about how our workplace culture shapes workplaces and provided some terrific examples & approaches to addressing this.
- Chris Moore of the Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety spoke to raise the awareness of how to effectively manage policy in the workplace regarding the recent legalization of Cannabis.
- Concluding the afternoon was Mark Corker, CEO of Seradex software & Ewald Becker, Sales Consultant of Planit Canada. Mark & Ewald know the power of how transformative software can be for manufacturing and bringing the Canadian Wood Manufacturing sector closer to Industry 4.0 is going to become an ever-increasing important matter in the near future for this industry.
