One benefit of being a member of a real functioning cluster is collaborative projects for mutual benefit!

High Point Market in NC, U.S.A. is the largest furnishings market in the world. 80,000 people from around the globe converge on this small town to engage each other in trade opportunities. Now that the U.S.A. economy is beginning to get warmer, and the Canadian dollar is low, the conditions for export development for Canadian manufacturers is getting better.
Take those conditions, and the BWA cluster, and we have a collaborative project opportunity to seize!
And seize it we did! Three BWA companies shared showroom space at the fall High Point Market October 17-22. Vokes Furniture, Crate Designs, and Springwater Woodcraft worked together to finish the showroom with their products. The results were fantastic for all three companies. Sales reps were established across several border states and down into the mid-west.
This is proof that the cluster model works to help wood manufacturing companies gain access to opportunities they otherwise would not have access to. In this case, opening up exposure to the U.S. market via High Point is time and money well invested working together.
Congratulations to Crate Designs, Vokes Furniture, and Springwater Woodcraft to their new opportunities in this market!
