Twenty BWA members travelled from across Southwestern Ontario to learn more about digital marketing and how to leverage it for Wood Product companies!
April 30th, 2015 marked the date of the first event of a new learning series for the BWA and its members. Members were surveyed recently on their training and development needs to help them grow and sustain their businesses. Among the themes identified was digital marketing and how wood product manufacturers can leverage it for their businesses.
Richard Picart, of Search Engine People, has helped BWA companies in the past, and has proven knowledge and expertise in this area. Many of us are busy running our businesses, and our attention is pre-occupied in serving our customers. In the theme of digital marketing, it makes sense to leverage expertise to help us grow our businesses.
Several facets of digital marketing were addressed, and members had continuous and open dialogue with the presenter to help walk away with some real valuable objectives and direction to move forward. In addition to SEO, themes included Conversion Optimization, Content Marketing, Pay per Click Advertising, and Analytics and Reporting, Mobile Marketing, Local Search and Display Advertising.
Members were also informed about the Ontario/Canada Job grant to help support further in-house consulting and training on this, and subsequent BWA Learning Series coming up.
Mark down May 28, 2015 for the next BWA Learning Series event: Lean Principles for Wood Manufacturing Excellence!
